Korean Novelist * Lee Oisoo's Twitter Translations

I am Korean novelist Lee Oisoo. I live in Gamseong Maul in Hwacheon, South Korea.
Gamseong Maul actually means ‘Village of Feeling’ in Korean. This place makes one aware of one’s own drowsiness.
I will log on twitter whenever I am displeased with society, whenever I am moved to tears in my life, or whenever I strongly miss human beings. via @oisoo

The 200-character manuscript paper I write on figuratively parallels 200 rooms for a monk’s ascetic practices, 200 rooms for a pastor’s prayers. Not a meagre amount of my flesh and bones have I whittled and sacrificed as I make my nightly pilgrimage, but all I feel is boundless melancholy because becoming a candle in a dark world is still far too distant.
